American Minimalist?

New York, New York!

New York, New York!

I have mentioned a few times on here that I would like to live to America. In fact, it is more than just a like; having discussed it with my current employer, they are looking into plans to provide me more opportunities working in the States early next year. They have already allowed me to work over there for two months earlier this year, which I am still grateful for.

But how can I want to live in America when I am trying to live more in a minimalist way? Doesn’t American consumerism conflict with this lifestyle choice? What can I possibly have to gain by living more in America?
